LAMDA Classes
LAMDA-Acting
Group classes for those looking to study and gain their Acting LAMDA qualifications.
During the Acting Exam learners develop their vocal, physical and interpretive skills while they delve into characters and explore the background of dramatic texts. Alongside producing authentic performances of their chosen scenes, they also gain an understanding of the context and characters within them.
Learners also gain UCAS points for higher grades.
Please note that learners will need to complete between 20-40 hours, depending on their grade and ability level, before they can take their exam.

Level 1 Acting 8+
These classes cover grades 1-3. During the sessions we will warm up and cover acting skills through some group exercises. We will then look at each child’s individual monologues as well as working on the questions and how we would analyse and answer these confidently in the exam. We will also practice how to give and receive feedback as we work on performing and observing each other’s work.
Please note, children will not be entered for exams until they are ready.

Level 2 Acting
These classes cover grades 4-5. During the sessions we will warm up and cover different acting skills through group exercises. We will begin to analyse stage work more thoroughly in line with the difficulty level of the exams. We will also look at each child’s individual monologues as well as working on the questions and how we would analyse and answer these confidently in the exam. We will also practice how to give and receive feedback as we work on performing and observing each other’s work.
Please note, children will not be entered for exams until they are ready.
LAMDA-Speaking in Public
Group classes for children looking to gain their LAMDA qualifications in public speaking.
These are great for those wanting to work on their presentation skills, public speaking and interview confidence. Learners write their own speeches, researching the topics, creating visual aids and presenting them from memory. They will develop the ability to speak clearly and project their voice for an audience. They’ll discover the techniques they require to engage an audience and to structure their speech effectively.

Level 1 Speaking in Public 8+
These classes cover grades 1-3. During the sessions we will go over the set subjects, address how to research topics, structure speeches and how to deliver them with confidence. We will incorporate their visual prompts for their presentations and practice the questions they will be asked in the exam.
Please note, children will not be entered for exams until they are ready.

Level 2 Speaking in Public
